May 11, 2008 · CSA G40.21 Grade 44W has a minimum yield of 44000 PSI wereas A/SA 36 has a min. yield of 36000. Don't quote me on these as they may change depending on the thickness. You would need to look at the respective standards for that. If you are looking at use in pressure vessel construction then 44W is not an acceptable grade of G40.21.
